So Long 2011..

...Here comes 2012.

I don't know what to say about 2011. It was a year full of heartbreaks, a lot of tears, but my baby Jihad came into my life in 2011. So I can't say that 2011 was a bad year altogether. Honestly, I can list all of the good and bad things, but the bad things would take forever. The good things were:

1. My nephew, Jihad Nur Al-Iman, was born on February 19, 2011. I remember this day as if it happened yesterday. I was waiting all week for kak Aisha to give birth. She didn't give birth, so I stopped anticipating too much. I made a reminder to wake up that Saturday morning to watch the replay of the Grammy's. It was worth missing the Grammy's just being able to hear his very loud cry, touch his soft skin, see his fair skin and red lips, and hold his tiny body. He is my highlight of the year 2011.

2. No more walking up at 5:30am to get ready for school, walking up the hill and stairs, and standing in the perhimpunan for more than 10 minutes.

3. Going back to USA. Not going to the USA for so long had made me jakun when we did went back. And of course, Disneyland. Like helloooo, how can that not make me happy?

4. Did not fail my SPM. 'nuff said!

5. Being able to study in the USA. It's like one of my dreams that I really really wanted to happen, and it did.

6. Taylor Swift concert!

7. No fail for my first year of Finals.

8. SNOW!!!!!!

9. And finally, I lost weight! YAY!! I'm about 54 kg now.

My first S-N-O-W :)

I lie you not, it is snowing :) My first ever snow. I'll probably will never get sick of snow. Standing outside, feeling the soft, icy snow land on my body was one of the most exciting things that has happened in my life. I will cherish this memory for a loooooong time :) 

Taylor Swift Concert

On September 24th 2011, I had one of the most amazing night of my life. I went to a Taylor Swift concert in Tulsa, OK.

The concert was incredible. The set was like a fairytale. It was colorful and beautiful. I love the fact that Taylor Swift sang every song in her Speak Now album. I think an artist usually would sing some of the songs from the album. I was very close to the stage that I could see her expressions without looking at the big screen. It was *that* amazing.

Procastinating

I got a ton of homework but as usual, like any other normal human being, I procastinate. I'll start after the "Keeping up with the Kardashian" marathon is over.

Algebra!!

And to think that I never have to learn algebra again. I was soooo wrong. I guess it's not that hard since I've actually learned some of this stuff before. Oh well.

On another note, there's this little black kitty that is running back and forth in front of where I'm sitting searching for food :( too bad I don't have any food on me. I would so totally give the little darling something to eat.

Essays

I do not like essays. A terrible thing for a person who is majoring in Journalism. It's probably because I have writers block or something. I don't know how to start. I have no clue how I'm gonna write a whole sentence about the article.

I thought it would be easy since I'm allowed to write anything about the article but it's not as easy as it seems.

*Sighs* I need mu chocolate cheesecake :-(

First Week in a New Country

Here I am, in America for almost two weeks now! And life seems to be pretty good. I just started school and had my first class last Tuesday. It was Intermediate writing, which we are required to take so that we can advance to Composition 1.

It's funny to see people being so friendly and just talk to complete strangers. I'm still shy so this could probably help me get rid of my shyness a little.

So far, my class schedule is awesome! The only thing that is a bother is the Beginners Algebra because it's on Saturdays. I'm gonna try to talk to Codie and see if she can get me a class on Tuesdays and Thursdays because that's when my classes are on.

The weather here is bearable. It's kinda like in Malaysia. However, I cannot wait for the Fall. And ultimately, I cannot wait for snow!

Back from America!!

Standing across the Hollywood sign made me very happy :D


I'll definitely come back here but next time, it won't be for tourist purposes :P

Maybe I could get a contract with Universal Studios :P

"Einstein Theory"

Theory: if all the bees in the world goes extinct, mankind will only have 4 years to live.

Appearantly, Einstein said this as if bees are the only insect/creature that does pollination (wait, is this sentence even correct?)

Anyhow, the news are reporting that bees are continuing to disappear. Some have said the reason of the disappearance are because of cell phones and other technologies. So, there might be a possiblity that the death of birds and fish during New Years is because of these technologies, right?

If Einstein really did make this theory, maybe we should listen to him. Hmmm.

Ok, I'm bored. I haven't written in my blog in a looooong time and I want to test my journalistic skills a little (what?)

Ok, that's all before I embarass myself even more.
